Monday Poem: Filius Ramshackle

By… Filius Ramshackle

A man as brave as graves are gravy
With noble brow and hair most wavy
He walked alone, then joined the navy
The story of Filius Ramshackle O!

He fought a live bear and punched the queen
Coined all the coins in his coin minting scheme
He’d ruddy well kill the fiendiest fiend
The Story of Filius Ramshackle O!

To the poor and the ugly he was a friend
A toothless old biddy called him a godsend
He worked her on ships then his garden she’d tend
The story of Filius Ramshackle O!

To all that he knew he was a great adder
No man could match his mathematical power
He could start an equation and end up with a flower
The story of Filius Ramshacke O!

Dear lowly peasants lay down at his feet,
This king of sailors and steak of meats
Cleverer than some, impermeable to heat
The story of Filius Ramshackle O!
